Expansion of a Software firm in Galway
A US software company named Lumension, through the expansion of its Galway based research and development centre, is to create new 20 jobs in Galway.
Lumension is the company which came into progress during the last year is mainly involved in developing the security software that helps the firms to safeguard their vital information.
With an intention of creating nearly 30 jobs, the company after meeting that target is now planning to create more 20 jobs, bringing in a total workforce of 50, by the end of this year.
Batt O’Keeffe, the minister for Enterprise, Trade and Innovation has claimed that “this is another example for the global investor community and the expansion plans of the Lumension are very encouraging for the information communications technology sector of Ireland.”
He also added that “the key component of the Lumension’s global activities is the Galway operation and the software engineers should feel pleased for their part in helping the company to go beyond its growth targets.”
Lumension has its operations spread across the world including the Texas, Virginia, Florida, Luxembourg, Singapore, Australia and Britain and is headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona.
